From now, the Enfield Observatory 'Map Zone' is using Enfield Council's online mapping system – Mapping Online in Enfield (MOLE). This works in a similar way to the software previously used and you should find it as easy to use. The Observatory’s Quick Help guide and fuller User Guide have been revised to cover MOLE. There is also a Help page available once you are in the site.

MOLE views

• The system displays information in collections known as views, as listed below.
• General View
• Education Provision View
• Planning History and TPOs
• Public rights of Way
• Sports and Leisure View
• UDP View

Each view has specific information that relates to a service, for example "Education Provision" covers all types of schools and education facilities while the "General View", covers a mixture of interests such as libraries, waste and recycling locations. A new 'Observatory View' has been designed to cover other information previously presented, such as boundaries – this is the view you will first see.
